This immersive full-day experience is designed to give aspiring pilots a comprehensive introduction to helicopter flight. With 2.5 hours of one-on-one flight time in the Robinson R22, the world’s most popular training helicopter, you’ll receive personalised instruction tailored to your needs and goals.
Your day begins with a detailed pre-flight briefing from an experienced instructor, covering the fundamentals of helicopter dynamics, flight techniques and safety. Throughout the day, you’ll experience multiple flying sessions, each focusing on a different aspect of helicopter flight. From basic controls to advanced manoeuvres, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the cockpit while enjoying the thrill of piloting.
Between flights, you’ll have time to debrief, plan your next session and interact with the friendly team at the base. By the end of the day, you’ll have logged valuable training hours towards your Private Pilot’s Licence and earned a commemorative certificate to celebrate your achievement.

Vital Information
Students must be over the age of 14. 15 stone weight limit per person
Flight will depend on visibility and weather conditions

The captain reserves the right to refuse to fly anyone considered not to be in the appropriate condition to fly.
Pre-bookings are required and subject to availability.
Due to health and safety reasons you are required to be able to get in and out of the helicopter unaided.
The Weather
Lessons may be rescheduled due to poor weather, air traffic restrictions, safety concerns or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
Session Length
The whole experience lasts a full day including greeting, pre flight instruction and briefing.
