The Experience
You will begin your day by skipping the lines with a timed entry ticket to the Tower of London, one of the most iconic royal landmarks in the city. Your tour starts outside the tower, where your guide will introduce the fortress and its rich history. Upon entering, you'll learn about the architectural evolution of the tower from its origins to its role as a renowned royal residence. Next you will explore the infamous execution site, where both public and private executions took place, and hear the stories of famous prisoners, such as Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII.
After that, delve into the dark history of the Tower’s torture chambers, where you'll see instruments like the rack, the Scavenger's Daughter, and the manacles, used on unlucky prisoners. As you continue your tour, witness the Yeoman Warders, or Beefeaters, in their ceremonial roles as the tower’s guardians. Don’t forget to visit the legendary ravens, a fixture at the Tower for over 300 years, and complete your tour with a visit to the Crown Jewels, home to the most famous jewel collection in the world.
